Inspiring Teacher of English Award

This is great news! Mrs Vani Raj, Bartley's very own English HOD, won the Inspiring Teacher of English Awards recently. The Award is given to outstanding EL teachers who are able to inculcate the love of the language in their students.

Mrs Raj's love for the English Language can be seen in the way she makes her EL lessons so lively and engaging for her students. This award is testament of the dedication that all teachers put in for their lesson, just for you Bartleyans. Congrats once again, Mrs Vani Raj!

Community Award

Last year, Mr Louis Isack Kumar was recognised for his outstanding effort in teaching Tamil Language. Mr Isack won the Most Inspiring Tamil Language Teacher Award in 2016.

This year, he received the ‘தமிழ்ச்சுடர்’ Community Award for my school for contributing to the growth of Tamil Language. Mr Isack has indeed made ICT pervasive and relevant in his lessons. His conviction in planning Active Learning Lessons have indeed been fruitful and beneficial for the students.

Season for Travelling!

After the Beijing trip in June, our Tamil Dept headed for Chennai for a cultural immersion trip where the students get to experience being a class with more than 40 students and also be inducted in a Tamil movie set!

Our Malay students were also in Langkawi for the cultural immersion trip. Situated in Kedah, Malaysia, Langkawi is known as the 'Legendary Island' because of the myths associated with its ancient geological formations.

Lastly, 10 of our Sec 2 students made their way to Hong Kong for an exchange programme organised by Ministry of Education and Hong Kong Education Bureau.
